Babassuamidopropyl Betaine is a gentle cleanser derived from the babassu oil, which comes from the nuts of the babassu palm native to Brazil, this ingredient is celebrated for its moisturizing and cleansing properties. Ideal for high-foaming, mild formulations that require naturally derived surfactants. It is rich in lauric, myristic, and oleic fatty acids, allowing the actives present in the formulation to be better absorbed by the hair. It has excellent emollient properties and is quickly absorbed by the hair without weighing it down or leaving it oily. It can be used in clear or opaque shampoos, shower gels, and foam or liquid soaps.
